SeaBreeze Ice Rescue Team Saves Four Snowmobilers

Four snowmobilers in Wayne County New York were rescued by the SeaBreeze Volunteer Fire Department in Ironquoit.  The snowmobilers were off course and drove into the icy waters of Sodus Bay. The Sea Breeze ice rescue team heard the call over their scanner and quickly drove 35 miles to assist.  The volunteer fire department invested in their Hoverguard 800 over 10 years ago for its ability to fly over ice and perform this type of rescue. On Saturday, they were prepared for this life-threatening emergency and were able to perform with precision saving the snowmobilers lives.
